There were three main challenges for this platform:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">The platform needed to withstand temperature cycling in an oven (used to &#8220;degrade&#8221; the chip)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">The platform needed to be relatively cheap (hi-temp connectors tend to be cost prohibitive)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">The platform needed to allow for swapping test devices (see #2, hi-temp IC test sockets are expensive)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">I was able to spec low-cost DDR3 RAM connectors that were specced up to 150C; I designed the platform around the RAM connectors.
