Background
I designed all the electronics for Aspinity’s AML100 IoT Sensor Tag (for the company’s IoT Enablement platform). The CR2032-powered tag was designed around Aspinity’s AML100 and a SiLabs low power BLE SoC (EFR32BG27). The board employs a mircophone and vibration sensor used for glassbreak and impact/collision detection. The general concept is that end users can place a system of up to 8 ultra low power Sensor Tags around a vehicle or home; the tags detect events and communicate to the central gateway and finally up to the cloud.
I also designed the board enclosure and mounting system, developed test firmware and did all the product/industrial design.
